Last August 28-30, 2015, the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) SOCSARGEN Chapter hosted the 9th PAMET Mindanao Regional Conference. This regional conference was designed to promote efficiency of medical technologists in their significant role of fostering health in the community. Medical technologists from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao were invited to the said event. The first day of the event was filled with workshops on various practices like Biosafety and Biosecurity, Antibody Screening, and Peripheral Blood Smear. On its second day, lectures were conducted in the morning and they had a fun fellowship night which was themed “Traffic Lights” wherein the singles wear green, red for those in a relationship, and yellow for those in an “it’s complicated” status. The last day was intended for a tour around General Santos City which served as a perfect break for our hard working medical technologists. MEDTEK was there to showcase its products like the Aria and InTec rapid tests, i-STAT Blood Gas Analyzer and Drew 3 Hematology Analyzer throughout the three-day booth exhibit. MEDTEK will constantly support PAMET and its chapters for the continuous growth and development of our medical technologists.
