LAURA M Urine Analyzer

  1. Ensure that the power cable of the urine strip reader is plugged into the power socket.
  2. If necessary, reseat the power cable to ensure a secure connection.
  3. Turn on the reader by flipping the power switch located at the back of the device.
  4. If the problem persists, contact a JARCET service engineer for assistance.

  1. Rerun the strip and make sure it is placed properly in the strip tray.
  2. Check the movement of the strip tray. It must go smoothly all the way to the reader.
  3. If the tray does not go into the reader or there is a cranking sound, remove the urine strip, pull out the strip tray, and reinsert it again.
  4. If the problem persists, call a JARCET service engineer.
  5. Remove the patient’s urine strip and run the check strip.
  6. Place the check strip in the strip tray. If the result fails, call a JARCET service engineer.
  1. Rerun the strip and check the movement of the strip tray. It must go smoothly all the way to the reader.
  2. If the tray does not go into the reader or there is a cranking sound, remove the urine strip and pull out the strip tray.
  3. Clean the tray opto sensor using an alcohol swab and then wipe it with tissue paper.

  1. This condition should be remedied before the Lamina™ becomes empty. Replace the Lamina™ container.
  1. Run another Control Rack, making sure properly labeled and oriented control tubes are in the proper positions in the rack, along with Iris System Cleanser and Iris Diluent in the appropriate positions.
  2. If the control still fails:
    1. If the Control Rack did not include a Focus, run another Control Rack with a Focus.
    2. Open and run a new bottle of Control.
  3. If the failure persists, restart the instrument and try again.

  1. Check to see that the Lamina™ bottle is properly placed in the cradle facing the side wall of the cradle. To remove the Red Flag Warning, select Go On line and press the Start button.
  2. Check to see if the Lamina™ cradle is properly plugged in. The USB cable must be properly plugged into both the cradle and the computer. Also check to see if the Green LED light is on. If the green LED light is not on, than the cradle is not getting the proper power supply from the computer.
  3. Check to see if the Lamina™ label is damaged. If the tag is damaged, remove the Lamina™ bottle from the cradle and replace with a new Lamina™ bottle.
  4. Invalid Lamina™ bottles or non-authentic Lamina™ substitutions will not be recognized by the cradle. Please ensure that you are using Iris Diagnostics’ authentic Lamina™ bottles.
  5. Lastly, if the tag reader failure is not corrected by any of the above three solutions, the cradle reader may be defective.
  1. Replace expired Lamina™ bottle with a new (authentic) Lamina™ bottle. Please note that diluting or substituting Lamina™ bottle contents may cause the machine to shut down until you replace it with a valid Iris Diagnostics’ Lamina™ bottle.
