Chem-7 Semi-automated Chemistry Analyzer

AIR BUBBLES ON TUBINGS

1. Check all tubings and connections from aspiration going to waste.

2. Check possible tubings loose connection and broke.

3. Perform washing with distilled water and observe which causes air bubbles.

4. Proceed running of samples.

CANNOT ASPIRATE / CLOGGED

1. Prepare Hypocleaner in a tube.

2. Aspirate Hypocleaner by manually rotates pumptube and pour it approximately 10 mins.

3. Perform wash with distilled water.

4. Perform sample testing and check volume aspirated.

XL 180 Fully Automated Chemistry Analyzer

NO POWER

1. Verify that all power cables were properly connected.

2. Check that the main switch located on the left hand side of the analyzer is at “ON” position.

3. Check that the main fuses are not burnt.

4. Pull out the plug of power supply cable from its receptacle on the analyzer. Open up the fuse cover and pull if defective fuses are verified, replace it when necessary.

5. Check that the circuit breaker of the power supply system to which the analyzer is connected, if it is not damaged.

DOUBTFUL RESULTS (TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW)

1.Check the following factors which affect results (Reagent preparation, Preparation of QC Sample, Preperation of Calibrator).

2. Check if all carterias are met in the following factors (on-board stability, expiry date, calibration status).

3. Check latest calibration factors if still within the given range, calibrate if necessary.

OUT OF RANGE GAIN DURING AUTOSPAN

1. Check water supply quality.

2. Replace Disposable cuvettes and see if error perisist.

3. Check lamp. Lifespan of lamp is around 1000 hours. Replace if needed.

VOD ERROR

1. Check for obstructions detected by the sensor vertically.

2. If there are no visual obstructions observed check the sensor if the metal plate of the probe asssembly is in between the sensor.

3. Reboot the entire system in order to initialize the hardwares and sensors.

ANALYZER NOT RESPONDING

1. Make sure that the correct port has been selected in Service Check (under PC Communication).

2. Check continuity status of RS232 connector, might be disconnected or faulty, replace if found defective.

3. Reboot the entire system and verify the operational status.

LEAKING UNDER THE MACHINE

1. Check the quality of DI water being used.

2. Check for clogs in the tubes.

3. Manually soak tubes for clogs.

4. Verify that the reagent carousel was properly closed to maintain refrigeration temperature. Water drains if the temperature is above the desired value.

NOT DETECTING SAMPLE OR REAGENT

1. Verify that the sample or reagent is loaded correctly and that the appropriate detection method is selected.

2. Check for any blockages or leaks in the fluidic system.

3. Make sure that the probe tip is clean and free from serum residue in order to detect the sample and the reagent volumes.

ABNORMAL NOISES AND VIBRATIONS

1. Check for loose or damaged parts and tighten or replace them as necessary.

RUNNING SLOWER THAN USUAL

1. Check if the instrument’s memory is full, back-up files and delete unnecessary data.

2. Verify if other applications or processes are running concurrently, as they may be affecting the instrument’s performance.

'INVALID BARCODE' WHEN SCANNING SAMPLES

1. Ensure that the barcode is intact and properly positioned for scanning.

2. Clean the barcode scanner if necessary. If the error persists, manually enter the sample information.

3. Check barcodes from sample tubes, might be torn and could no longer be scanned. Replace when needed or manually input the details.

ABNORMAL PEAKS OR SPIKES IN TEST RESULTS

1. Check for air bubbles or contaminants in the sample. Mix the sample thoroughly before testing.

2. Ensure that the sample and reagents are at the correct temperature and that the appropriate test protocol is followed (on-board stability, expity date).

INCONSISTENT SAMPLE ASPIRATION

1. Check the sample probe for any clogs or blockages.

2. Clean the probe with alcohol or cleaning solution if necessary.

3. Ensure that the sample volume is adequate with the number of test required.

XL 200 Fully Automated Chemistry Analyzer

NO POWER

1. Verify that all power cables were properly connected.

1. Replace the fuse (T0.8A delay fuse).

BROKEN LAMP

NO LIQUID IS ASPIRATED DURING START

1. Reinstall pump if the pump is not installed well.

2. Replace pump if the pump has deteriorated or cracked.

3. Reset up parameter for the pump for improper pump parameter set.

4. If failed online, press 1 to check up.

5. If promlem persists, please contact JARCET.

WATER RUNS OUT DURING RINSE

1. Check up the leakage and reconnect the tubes.

2. Replace the pump.

WORKING INDICATOR LIGHT IS UNLIGHTED (UNRESPONSIVE ANALYZER)

1. Use the onboard cable if the COM cable is too long.

2. Ensure that the cable is fastened correctly.

3. If there is strong electromagnetic interference nearby, remove the high power equipment.

4. If problem persists, please contact JARCET.

FAILED A/D ADJUSTMENT

1. If the lamp is broken, please contact JARCET.

2. Drain off the liquid int he cell and repipette liquid to adjust in case of air bubbles or insufficient water in the cell. If unsuccessful, reset up parameter for the pump.

3. Rinse the cell with detergent or absolute alcohol several times.

4. If problem persists, please contact JARCET.

INACCURATE TEST RESULTS OR POOR REPEATABILITY

1. Reset the parameter for the pump if there are air bubbles in the cell.

2. The silica get pipe may have deteriorated or cracked, resulting in inaccurate pipetted volume. If this is the case, replace silica get pipe for the pump.

3. Readjust the initial A/D in case of ageing with the lightsource lamp.

4. For improper item test parameter set, reset item parameter according to the reagent instructions.

5. In the absence of earth wire with the power supply, ground the instrument with the onboard ground pole.

6. If problem persists, please contact JARCET.

URIT-8021A Fully Automated Chemistry Analyzer

DOESN'T TURN ON EVEN THOUGH POWER SWITCH IS ALREADY ON

1. Check if the AVR / UPS is connected in the power outlet.

2. Check if the AVR / UPS is turned ON.

3. Check if the power cable of the analyzer is connected in the AVR / UPS.

4. Check if the analyzer power switch located at the back of the analyzer is turned ON. There two power switch at the back (“green” is for the water system pumps and “red” for the analyzer motors) these two must be swtiched ON.

5. Call JARCET service engineer if the problem persist.

CPU AND ANALYZER ARE ON BUT NO MONITOR DISPLAY OR SIGNAL

1. Check and reseat the monitor power cable in the monitor and AVR / UPS.

2. Check and reseat the VGA cable (blue plug) in the monitor and CPU.

3. Push the power button of the monitor. If still there is no image no signal, call JARCET service engineer.

ANALYZER IS ON BUT DOES NOT RESPOND TO SOFTWARE

1. Turn OFF the analyzer and shutdown the software. After 10 seconds power on the analyzer by switching ON the GREEN and RED power switch. Press the CPU power button.

2. Check and reseat the RS232 connected in the CPU and Analyzer.

3. Power on the analyzer by switching ON the GREEN and RED power switch. Press the CPU power button.

4. Log in the user name and password.

5. If the analyzer and software still not synchronized select LAB then click on HEADING AND COM SETUP. Select COM1 then SAVE.

6. Power on the analyzer by switching ON the GREEN and RED power switch. Press the CPU power button.

7. Log in the user name and password.

8. Call JARCET service engineer if the problem persist.

CUVETTE BLANK ERROR FLAG

1. Remove the cuvettes and manualy inspect if the cuvette is cloudy or stained.

2. Perform cuvette rinsing. Click MAINTENANCE select CUVETTE RINSING. Then click WASH button to clean all the cuvettes.

3. Check the detergent level in the detergent container.

4. Check the lamp if it is emitting light.

5. Call JARCET service engineer if the problem persist.

LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR FAILS FLAG

1. Check if the actual level of the DI water container, waste and detergent. If the level of the liquid inside the container is acceptable go to the next step.

2. Reseat the BNC connector of the DI water, waste and detergent, these connector is connected in the analyzer and containers.

3. Call JARCET service engineer if the problem persist.

ERRATIC / INACCURATE RESULTS AFTER SEVERAL TESTS ON SAME SAMPLE

1. Check if the distilled water in the container is clean free from debris or contamination.

2. Check the detergent level in the detergent container.

3. Perform cuvette rinsing. Click MAINTENANCE select CUVETTE RINSING. Then click WASH button to clean all the cuvettes.

4. Call JARCET service engineer if the problem persist.

OUT OF WATER / WASH SOLUTION FOR WASHING STATION & STIRRER WASHING STATION

1. Check the level of distilled water and detergent in the container. Refill if necessary.

2. Call JARCET service engineer if the problem persist.

AU480 Chemistry Analyzer

POWER WON'T TURN ON

1. Check the UPS if “ON” and the power cord is plug in.

2. Make sure that the UPS is plug-in in the correct voltage requirements.

3. Press the White and Green button at the front rigthside of the analyzer to power ON.

4. If error persist contact service personnel for assistance.

DPR-ANL COMMUNICATION ERROR (ANALYZER NOT RESPONDING TO PC)

1. Shut down both analyzer and PC.

2. Check the LAN cable at the back of analyzer and PC if connected properly.

3. Power “ON” the analyzer by pressing the white and then green button.

4. If error persist contact service personnel for assistance.

DI WATER EMPTY

1. At the time of analysis operation and manual operation start.
*Verify that the main cock of the deionized water supply is open.
*Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
*Verify that the float switch connector is connected.
*Verify that the tube inserted into the tank is not bent.

2. During warm-up, stand-by, manual operation or measuring.
*Verify that the main cock of the deionized water supply is open.
*Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
*Verify that the float switch connector is connected.
*Verify that the tube inserted into the tank is not bent.

MEAN CUVETTE ERROR

1. Perform W1, W2, and Photocal.

2. if error persist, check lamp if its busted and it’s used hour

3. If lamp is OK, contact service personnel for assistance.

RTWB CHECK ERROR

1. Check if cuvette wheel flood is occurred.

2. Check if there are bubbles in cuvettes.

3. Check if there are unfixed cuvettes in the cuvette wheel.

4. If confirm there is not actual cuvette wheel flood, bubbles and unfixed cuvettes, call service personnel for assistance.

RB (REAGENT BLANK) FAILURE

1. Inspect the reagent expiration date.

2. Inspect the reagent onboard expiration date.

3. Confirm the correct reagent preparation.

4. Confirm that fixed reagents are in the correct position.

5. Put on a new bottle of reagent and perform a reagent blank.

6. Confirm that a reagent with a bar code label is not in a position fixed for a different test.

7. Confirm with user if they are practicing “topping up reagent”.

CALIBRATION ERROR

1. Confirm that the correct calibrator was poured for the calibration.

2. Confirm the integrity of the calibrator.
*Expiration date
*Open bottle stability
*Time at room temperature
*Contamination

3. Verify the correct preparation.

4. Verify that the calibrator is placed in the correct position in the yellow rack if the Bar code Operation is disabled.

5. Confirm that the calibrator lot number in use and lot number concentration programmed.
*Select Menu List > Calibration > Calibration Parameters > Calibrators.

6. Verify the Calibration, Formula, and Factor Range – Low/High.
*Select Menu List > Parameter > Calibration Parameter > General.

QC ERROR

1. Verify that the correct QC material was poured.

2. Verify that the required sample volume was poured.

3. Verify the integrity of the QC Material.
*Expiration date
*Open bottle stability
*Time at room temperature
*Contamination

4. Verify correct preparation (Dissolution, Equality (Mix), Expansion).

5. Verify that the QC material is placed in the correct position in the rack.

6. Verify that the correct lot number is in use.

7. Verify that a clean tube or cup was used.

Note: In the reaction monitor, if the initial OD is abnormally higher than previous OD, it is possible that a foreign substance is in the QC materials.

SAMPLE PROBE CLOT DETECT

1. Verify that the sample in the sample cup does not contain solid matter such as fibrin etc. and perform repeat run after processing.

2. In case of continuous alarm output, stop the system and wash the sample probe.

SAMPLE PROBE DETERGENT SHORT

1. Verify the amount of detergent container.

2. Pause the analysis and replinish detergent.

SAMPLE PROBE DETERGENT EMPTY

1. When the Option Parameters information setting is transition to pause
*After the end of dispensing operation, replenish detergent and perform a reagent check.
*Restart analysis.
*Verify data with the data flag “(” and perform analysis again as required.

2. When the Option Parameters information setting is switched to water washing and analysis is continued
*After the end of analysis, replenish detergent and perform a reagent check.

SAMPLE PROBE W2 DETERGENT EMPTY

Note: W2 start is prohibited. Dispensing operation of detergent for W2 is stopped during W2. Cuvette washing continues.

1. After system stop, replenish detergent and perform W2 again.

1. After analysis end, refill fluid into the sample pre-diluent bottle.

2. When the analysis parameter setting is for no mode transition (only alarm)
*Transition to pause mode is performed.
*Replenish or replace the reagent bottle and perform a reagent check.
*Verify pending samples and perform analysis again.

CHECK THE TIP OF SAMPLE PROBE

1. Initializing
*Verify the tip of the sample probe. Remove any adhering foreign substance.
*Replace the sample probe if it is bent.
*Execute “Sample probe replacement” from the user maintenance menu and verify that there is no abnormality for inner wash water discharge from the tip of the probe.
*If whole blood adheres to the probe, do not perform further initialization, but immediately perform “Sample probe washing” from the user maintenance menu, perform probe washing, and verify that there is no abnormality for inner wash water discharge from the tip of the probe.

SAMPLE SYRINGE PRIME INCOMPLETE

1. During user maintenance
*Verify that the connection part of the tube connected to the sample dispenser is not loose.
*Execute the “Sample syringe replacement” function again.

REAGENT ID BARCODE ERROR

1. Verify the reagent ID barcode label.

2. Perform diagnosis operation again.

DETERGENT (CONCENTRATED) EMPTY

1. At the time of analysis operation and manual operation start
*Refill pure detergent.
*Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
*Verify that the float switch connector is connected.

2. During analysis
*Refill pure detergent.
*Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
*Verify that the float switch connector is connected.

3. During W1/W2/PHOTOCAL
*Refill pure detergent after operation end.
*Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
*Verify that the float switch connector is connected.

DETERGENT EMPTY

1. Manual operation during warm-up or stand-by
*Perform reset after system stop. Detergent generation starts after transition to warm-up or stand-by.
a. Verify the following if diluted detergent is not generated.
b. Verify the presence of deionized water and pure detergent.
c. Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
d. Verify that the float switch connector is connected.
e. Verify that the tube inserted into the tank is not bent.

2. Measuring or during analysis function check diagnosis
*Perform reset after system stop. Detergent generation starts after transition to warm-up or stand-by.
a. Verify the following if diluted detergent is not generated.
b. Verify the presence of deionized water and pure detergent.
c. Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
d. Verify that the float switch connector is connected.
e. Verify that the tube inserted into the tank is not bent.

3. At the time of analysis operation or ISE manual operation start
*Perform reset after system stop. Detergent generation starts after transition to warm-up or stand-by.
a. Verify the following if diluted detergent is not generated.
b. Verify the presence of deionized water and pure detergent.
c. Verify that the float switch has been inserted correctly into the tank.
d. Verify that the float switch connector is connected.
e. Verify that the tube inserted into the tank is not bent.

SAMPLE PROBE (FA) ERROR (UP-DOWN)

1. During reset
*Close ISE lid or STAT table lid if they are open.
*Recover the sample aspiration if the rack is at the position of the sample aspiration.
*Reset again.

2. At the start of analysis
*Reset again. Afterwards, start analysis again.

3. During analysis or manual operation
*Reset after operation end. Afterwards, start again. In case of reoccurrence, contact service personnel for assistance

4. At the time of diagnosis
*Execute diagnosis operation by pressing the diagnosis switch again or by selection from the menu.

SAMPLE PROBE (FD01) ERROR (UP-DOWN)

1. During reset
*Close refrigerator lid if they are open.
*Reset again.

2. At the start of analysis
*Reset again. Afterwards, start analysis again.

3. During analysis or manual operation
*Reset after operation end. Afterwards, start analysis and manual operation again.

4. At the time of diagnosis
*Execute diagnosis operation by pressing the diagnosis switch again or by selection from the menu.

DETERGENT OVERFLOW

1. During warm-up, stand-by, manual operation or measuring
*Although an alarm is put out, there is no special problem as long as the level in the tank does not rise further.
*If detergent spills from the tank, immediately press the EM STOP button and stop the system. If there is spilled detergent at the tank location, wipe it off. Contact service personnel for assistance.

2. At the time of execution of user maintenance “Replacement of the roller tubing for detergent”
*As it is to be feared that diluted detergent will be drawn into the concentrated detergent tank, the function “Replacement of the roller tubing for detergent” cannot be executed. When disconnecting the roller tubing, catch the detergent spilling from the tube with paper or similar, and disconnect so that the concentrated detergent is returned to the concentrated detergent tank.
*If detergent spills from the tank, immediately press the EM STOP button and stop the system. If there is spilled detergent at the tank location, wipe it off. Contact service personnel for assistance.

RACK STOCKER UNIT FULL

1. During reset
*Remove the rack from the rack retrieval section and reset again.

2. At the start of analysis
*Remove the rack from the rack retrieval section and start analysis again.

3. During analysis
*Remove the rack from the rack retrieval section. Perform transition to pause mode or start analysis if in transition.

RACK KIND ERROR

1. Verify the setting direction and the magnets at the bottom of the rack.

2. Perform diagnosis operation again.

RACK ID BARCODE ERROR

1. Verify the rack ID barcode label.

2. Perform diagnostics operation again.

SAMPLE PROBE (FA) ERROR (LIQUID SENSOR)

1. At the time of analysis start or at the time of manual operation start
*At the time of descent of the sample probe at the wash position, verify that sufficient outer wash water is discharged.
*Clean the wash tank if it is dirty.

2. During analysis or manual operation
*Contact service personnel for assistance

3. At the time of diagnosis
*Execute diagnosis operation by pressing the diagnosis switch again or by selection from the menu.

PHOTOCAL ERROR

1. Verify enough volume of cleaning and wash solution on board, perform W1 and W2.

2. Verify for bubbles found within cuvettes.

3. Check water system quality.

4. Verify the lamp usage status, replace if needed.

5. Check particular cuvettes for possible cracks or scratches, replace if needed.

UNABLE TO ASPIRATE PATIENT SERUM SAMPLE

1. Check sample probe for possible clog, perform washing and priming if necessary. Observe the normal flow of fluid.

2. Manually clean the sample probe tip in order to detect the desired sample volume.

3. Visually check the sampe syringe for possible leaks, tightened if necessary. For service if still unable to aspirate.

4. Ensure that the tubing connected to the sample syringe is not loose or bent.

UNABLE TO ASPIRATE REAGENT SOLUTION

1. Check reagent probe for possible clog, or traces of being bent. Observe the normal flow of fluid.

2. Manually clean the reagent probe tip in order to detect the desired reagent volume.

3. Visually check the reagent syringe for possible leaks, tightened if necessary. For service if still unable to aspirate.

4. Ensure that the tubing connected to the reagent syringe is not loose or bent.

CUVETTE OVERFLOW

1. Check wash nozzle for possible bends and abnormalities.

2. Verify wash nozzle is not clogged.

3. Check wash nozzle manifolds and O-rings, tightened if necessary.

4. Restart the analyzer to perform initialization.

UNABLE TO RECOGNIZE REAGENT AND SAMPLE BARCODES

1. Clean barcode scanners, making it free from dust or any foreign debris.

2. Check barcode lables from reagent bottles and sample tubes if not worn out.

3. Be sure to load bottles and sample tubes properly, facing the coded part towards the scanner.

4. Power OFF the system and restart the system to perform initialization procedures.

OUT OF RANGE REAGENT REFRIGERATOR OR STAT TABLE TEMPERATURE

1. Check if the carousel were properly closed.

2. Verify the ambient temperature for it might affect the temperature of the entire system of the analyzer (allowable 4°C to 12°C).

3. Restart the analyzer to perform initialization.

DI WATER INSUFFICIENT / EMPTY / OVERFLOW

1. Press the ANALYZER STOP button.

2. Verify the waterflow from the main water source is enough.

3. Check the RO Water System’s performance. Verify valve if it is Open or Closed.

4. Check the float sensor inserted into the tank if still operational.

5. Make sure float connector is properly connected.

6. Verify tubes connected to the tank were not bent.

7. Restart the analyzer to perform initialization.

WATER SOLUTION EMPTY

1. Check for enough volume from the W1 container.

2. Check for enough volume from the W2 container.

3. Verify the volume of the wash solution tank.

4. Check the float sensor inserted into the tank if still operational.

5. Make sure float connector is properly connected.

6. Verify tubes connected to the tank were not bent.

7. Restart the analyzer to perform initialization.

DILUTED WASH SOLUTION INSUFFICIENT / EMPTY / OVERFLOW

1. Press the ANALYZER STOP button.

2. Check the volume of the concentrated wash solution if still enough.

3. Check the status of the peristaltic pump tube, replaced if necessary.

4. Verify the volume of the diluted wash solution tank.

5. Check the float sensor inserted into the tank if still operational.

6. Make sure float connector is properly connected.

7. Verify tubes connected to the tank were not bent.

8. Restart the analyzer to perform initialization.

RB FAILURE

1. Verify the quality of DI Water.

2. Verify that a straight stream of water is dispensed from the reagent probes. Clean probes if necessary.

3. Inspect the reagent expiration date.

4. Inspect the reagent onboard expiration date.

5. Confirm the correct reagent preparation.

6. Confirm that fixed reagents are in the correct position.

7. Put on a new bottle of reagent and perform a reagent blank.

8. Confirm that a reagent with a barcode label is not in a position fixed for a different test.

9. Verify that the correct reagent syringe is used (blue receptacle) and correctly attached to the analyzer.

10. Verify that there are no cracks in the reagent syringe or reagent syringe case.

CALIBRATION FAILURE

1. Confirm that the correct calibrator was poured for the calibration.

2. Confirm the integrity of the calibrator.
> Expiration date
> Open bottle stability
> Time at room temperature
> Contamination

3. Verify the correct preparation.

4. Verify that the calibrator is placed in the correct position in the yellow rack.

5. Confirm that the calibrator lot number in use and lot number concentration is correctly programmed.

6. Verify the Calibration, Formula, and Factor Range – Low/High.

7. Check the sample probe position and verify that a straight stream of water is dispensed from the probe.

8. Check the sample syringe. Verify that the yellow receptacle is used.

9. Verify that the sample syringe or sample syringe case are not cracked.

10. Verify that the sample syringe is attached to the analyzer correctly.

Eon One Semi-automated Chemistry Analyzer

NO POWER

1. Check power cord if plugged in properly.

2. Check back switch if it’s at ON position.

3. Check front switch (aspiration button), verify if it is still functioning.

4. If problem still persists, then the analyzer is for repair.

TOUCHSCREEN NOT WORKING PROPERLY

1. On the Main Menu go to “Setup”, select “Instrument Setup”, then select “Other”.

2. Press “Start” to perform touch screen calibration.

3. “x” will be displayed on screen, follow and press the center of the “x” using the pen supplied.

WATER VALUE TOO LOW / TOO HIGH

1. On the Main Menu go to “Setup”, select “Instrument Setup”, then select “Other”.

2. Press “Start Calibration”.

3. Aspirate distilled water 3 times.

4. Wait until the calibration process comes to an end.

5. Repeat procedures if the error message continues to appear.
