On June 18, 2018, the EMS Asia greeted hundreds of ASEAN EMTs and other medical professionals to this year’s convention. The Asian Association for Emergency Medical Services (AAEMS) held the 2-day conference to notify its members of the latest updates in medical emergency care.
As the first Filipino city to host the EMS Asia, Davao welcomed its international guest with its colorful culture. A rousing performance of traditional Filipino dance kicked off the event. Delegates were also able to register on-site on the first day.
At around 10 AM, the exhibit opened for delegates to roam around in during their free times. Among the exhibitors is MEDTEK. For the next two days, booth visitors were able to learn more about Abbott Laboratories’ i-STAT blood analyzer. Its broad test menu, minutes’ worth of test time, and low volume requirement makes it the perfect tool for emergency situations. Delegates also played the fun pong toss games at our booth and received MEDTEK and Abbott giveaways. Five lucky winners won an exclusive MEDTEK Samsonite bag each.
For the EMS Asia guests,various educational plenary lectures and symposia filled their 2-day schedule. They got to hear from the industry’s bests on timely topics such as emergency care during infectious disease outbreaks and the implementation of quality management systems in EMS. For the closing ceremony, the organizing committee thanked both the attendees and the exhibiting sponsors for their contributions. Special thanks were also given to Davao for making the year’s convention the best one EMS Asia has had yet.
