For the past 16 years, MEDTEK and the rest of the JARC Group of Companies have been able to come together every May 8th to celebrate our founding anniversary. It is a time wherein we can celebrate the achievements, reunite with colleagues from across and beyond the country, and acknowledge employees who have done outstanding performances.
This annual tradition of thanksgiving and team-bonding would not be broken, not even when our 17th anniversary happens to be in the middle of the ECQ. The COVID-19 crisis has affected our operations, much like the majority of local businesses. We know that the abrupt changes brought by the pandemic have caused a lot of uncertainties and anxieties to our employees. At a time where we are forced apart when we should be united, the anniversary has become more than just a get-together. It is now an opportunity to provide assurance and strength to every single JARC Group employee.
This is why, for the first time, the JARC Group anniversary was held online. The fraction of the company working in our main and satellite offices gathered for a simple feast while those working at home joined in via video conference. Our HR team have put together a fun program which includes the awarding of outstanding employees, the recognition of loyalty awardees, and the welcoming of new members of our JARC Group team.
We also have new reasons to celebrate. Our MEDTEK Indonesia is celebrating its 1st anniversary, a hallmark achievement for our first foray in the overseas market. Our MEDTEK Indonesia team also joined in on our festivities and were able to share their achievements these past year. We are truly proud of and thankful for the Indonesian team for reaching all these milestones through their unparalleled dedication.
This first-of-its-kind celebration is a testament of not just our commitment to our employees, but also of our company’s resilience and adaptability. The COVID-19 has forced a lot of companies, including ours, to think of outside-the-box solutions for unforeseen obstacles. JARC Group has, for the recent years, focused on maximizing technology in facing challenges. This solutions-centered outlook is what made this anniversary possible and will be the same mentality that would help us emerge from this crisis intact and stronger than ever.
In the words of our founder, Mr. Jose Alberto ‘Seling’ Catral, being a part of the JARC Group team means having “oneness in objective and singleness in purpose.” And in facing challenges, we are, first and foremost, a team.
For the COVID-19 outbreak, the JARC Group of Companies have joined hands with our healthcare industry in aiding our frontliners’ efforts to isolate and properly accommodate the infected. We are among the few companies that were authorized to distribute the FDA-approved Innovita COVID-19 antibody rapid test. We also added the GeneFinder COVID-19 PCR test kit to our catalogue to aid in our country’s PCR testing efforts. Recently, we’ve partnered with the South Superhighway Medical Center and launched the mobile screening lab for returning Filipino workers. As a company dedicated to the health of every Filipino, the JARC Group will continue to assist our government’s efforts in containing and eradicating the COVID-19 virus from our communities.
